I whole-heartedly believe that simply featuring an LGBTQ+ couple in your portfolio is not enough to be able to consistently appeal to, and book, LGBTQ+ clients.
Representing the queer community is about more than just dropping a queer couple into another heteronormative narrative. It’s a responsibility to do more than put us into a predetermined box.
We are all human beings, and when it comes to this industry, we are all in the business of celebrating love. Let’s take care of each other. Let’s make each other feel valued and important, for the simple reason that each of us IS valuable and important.

Emily + Daniel: Cole Camp, MO 2020 Weddings certainly took a turn this year! With all but 2 of our spring weddings rescheduled (ahem… thanks a lot, COVID) we didn’t start filming until JUNE!!!! Which is just absolutely wild. We had so much time off we barely knew what to do with ourselves. Lucky for […]
Taboo Topics: Stress on the wedding day – and how to avoid it! So I spoke about this on my instagram stories the other day… but I thought it would be good to dive a little deeper. Stress on your wedding day is prooooobably a little inevitable, but it doesn’t have to ruin it all. […]
Why is Color Correction so Important anyway?? When filming, we usually choose a color profile that is flat, and doesn’t let a lot of color come through. I’m sure that sounds weird, and might seem like a strange idea – I mean, why not just get the good color straight from the camera? Honestly, it just doesn’t really work that way. While we can get pretty good color straight from camera, it might make some aspects of the shot a little strange-looking. Skin tones are a BIG problem area with in-camera color! And NO ONE likes to look orange! Simply put, camera’s don’t see the world the same way humans do. Camera’s interpret the world around them the best they can, but it will always be different.
