I adore the story of this elopement, and think it speaks so much to what really matters when it comes to wedding planning. Your wedding should be about you and your partner. But when you’re really in the thick of it, this concept is just so easy to lose your grip on.
I whole-heartedly believe that simply featuring an LGBTQ+ couple in your portfolio is not enough to be able to consistently appeal to, and book, LGBTQ+ clients.
Representing the queer community is about more than just dropping a queer couple into another heteronormative narrative. It’s a responsibility to do more than put us into a predetermined box.
